New Object:
The Photography of Nicola Kuperus
An exhibition of the work of contemporary photographer Nicola Kuperus, New Object took place in the Walker Art Center’s Walker On Wheels gallery. The mobile venue, designed by Atelier Von Lieshout, which housed the one day exhibition, was located in the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
For New Object, I acted not only designer but also as curator. The exhibition identity references the stark, awkward, and mysterious compositions and subject matter explored throughout the body of Kuperus’ work displayed. The location itself was chosen for it’s similar qualities.
